Kathy Kirk
Personal:
Kathy Kirk was born and raised in the Midwest and currently lives in the Cuyamaca Mountains east of San Diego.
She describes herself as a generalist, having a science background first in nursing, then premed; four years of Latin, a business degree, and has been an avid organic gardener since childhood. As a reader, she says, "I'm an equal opportunity reader. I'll read anything someone recommends as interesting to them."
Kathy first became aware of spiritual growth when she experienced a nervous breakdown and spent nearly 5 months in a mental hospital. "It was my Cosmic Goose. I was living someone else's life, and not my own." In hospital she first experienced her inner Self asking her, "So, what are we going to do about this?" "There was this Voice, so patient and loving just letting me know that I was not alone. This Connection fueled my self-directed recovery and catapulted my intense desire to understand everything." Over the course of the next 25 years, Kathy investigated, studied, researched, tested and developed, Applied Spirituality™.
"Applied Spirituality is the application of your spirit, your Godself, deliberately and intentionally in a conscious life. It all works the same in an unconscious life, but you don't "get" how powerful a Creator you are. If outcomes are pleasing to you, you'll think it's luck; if outcomes are harsh, you'll feel like a victim. I just wasn't willing to believe that I had no control over my own life, that someone else or some far distant "God" was calling the shots. It just didn't feel like Truth to me."
Kathy has two grown sons. The elder is a Naval Helicopter Pilot and Instructor as NAS North Island and has served two deployments to the Middle East. Her younger son is "a light being and teacher unfolding."
Kathy's parents live in Ohio and will celebrate their 63rd. anniversary in November. "They grew up together and came into the world one year and five days apart from each other." Kathy also has two sisters. Her elder sister is a neurologist specializing in epilepsy in Minneapolis; and her younger sister is a hospital administrator in Michigan.
Of current times Kathy says, "These are exciting times to be alive on Earth. I was there for the first paradigm shift in the late 1960's and experienced them as chaos. Now I am enjoying watching the old wash away and the new consciousness coming into being. We are the "second coming"; the human race being lifted into the Christed Consciousness. It just doesn't get any more exciting than this. This is high adventure and great fun."
